Dozens of people attended Burnham-On-Sea’s Southleigh Kindergarten summer garden party on Saturday (June 18th).
The popular event went ahead in Rectory Road despite the threat of poor weather.
Burnham’s Deputy Mayor, Cllr Ken Smout, opened the event and judged a colourful fancy dress parade (pictured above).
In addition to a bouncy castle, refreshments, a promises auction and stalls, there were also visits by BARB’s Light Of Elizabeth rescue hovercraft and one of Burnham’s fire engines.
The kindergarten’s Sandra Hodges told Burnham-On-Sea.com the event had been a “great success, enjoyed by all” and that around £700 had been raised in total.
