Burnham-On-Sea MP to meet vandalism-hit residents

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s MP, David Heathcoat-Amory, will be in town this Saturday (February 24th) to receive a petition from residents of South Street, who are angry about vandalism problems in the area.

The MP’s visit comes after Burnham-On-Sea.com exclusively reported last week about problems along the street.

The MP, pictured, will be presented with a petition from residents who are keen to find a solution to the problems of rowdiness caused by late night drinkers using the road as a cut-through from pubs on the seafront to the High Street.

Last week, residents of South Street said their lives were being made a misery because of the problems.

Mr Heathcoat-Amory told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I will meet with the residents and district councillor Arthur Thorogood, and examine the problem on the ground to see if anything can be done to help.”
