Pop group B*Witched visited Brean this week to take part in the filming of a children’s TV show alongside local dancers.
Youngsters from the Burnham-On-Sea area were featured alongside the Irish pop quartet for the new ITV series of The Sooty Show.
Members of Highbridge’s Lucy Gunter Dance Centre were invited along to take part in the filming session, as pictured here.
Producer and presenter Richard Cadell told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s great to involve local children in our TV show.”
“Lucy’s children were fabulous and I’m sure they learnt much from seeing behind the scenes. Sooty was very pleased to meet them all and they will feature in several of our new episodes.”
The TV series is now filmed entirely at Brean Leisure Park where many of the original props and memorabilia are on display at The Fun City amusement park. The new 26-part series will air on ITV1 and CITV from September this year.
Meanwhile, this Sunday at 3pm people will be able to meet Sooty at Fun City in Brean where an autograph signing section is to be held.
