Brean Leisure Park to hold new Somerset Day producers fayre in May

-

Brean Leisure Park is seeking local producers to exhibit at a new Somerset Fayre in the village to celebrate Somerset Day.

To celebrate Somerset Day 2018, the Leisure Park is organising a local producers’ fayre on Sunday 13th May.

They are looking for local Somerset producers who might like to exhibit at the fayre, an event which will be open to the community as well as guests staying at the resort over that weekend.

There will be no charge for a stall as the park says it wants to showcase everything Somerset has to offer, be it food, drink, arts and crafts or community interests.

The park’s Alan House told Burnham-on-Sea.com: “We have guests visiting and staying with us each year from across the country, and an event like this will provide us with the opportunity to exhibit to them all the fantastic products made locally here in Somerset.”

“It will also be an opportunity for the producers to showcase their products not just to holiday makers but also to those living locally and potentially make new contacts, and for us to engage with our local community. We will be handing out goody bags which will include discounted entry vouchers to Brean Play and Brean Splash, and other giveaways which we will announce nearer the time.”

Created by Passion for Somerset, Somerset Day is held on May 11th every year, in honour of King Alfred the Great’s routing of the Vikings from his stronghold in the Somerset marshes in May 878 and highlights what a great place it is to work, live and play, as well as the many fantastic products created within the county.

If you would be interested in having a stall and being involved on the day, please email deborah@brean.com.
