-

Proposals for a further big new solar energy farm in Berrow which will be large enough to power hundreds of homes are set to be unveiled.

Plans for the huge solar farm on land to the South of Wick Road in the parishes of Berrow and Brent Knoll will go on show.

Developer Hadstone Energy, which already runs the larger solar energy farm at nearby Watchfield, is working on a formal application to Sedgemoor District Council for the proposals.

It will be holding a public consultation session and exhibition at Berrow Village Hall Meeting Room on Tuesday 12th August open to all.

This will be an informal drop-in session scheduled from 3pm to 7pm when members of Hadstone Energy will be there with information relating to this proposal and to answer any questions.

If approved, the site would become be the latest in the area. Burnham-On-Sea.com has previously featured the huge solar energy farms in Watchfield and Wedmore and others planned at Rooksbridge and Mark.
