Highbridge Social Club marked its centenary on Saturday (July 12th) with a special fun day and a day of celebrations.
The club, located in Church Street, held a whole day of family activities to mark the milestone.
It got underway with a coffee morning for Macmillan Nurses and was followed by a display of Highbridge’s history over the past 100 years.
There were also kids activities, a barbecue, Irish bingo, a sports and entertainment quiz and live music from an Elvis impersonator.
Organiser Gina Hood, pictured above, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s been a great day for the club to look back at the past 100 years – an important milestone for the club.”
The club is home to several such teams, and offers a range of facilities, including function rooms available for hire. Membership is open to men and women. For more details, ring 01278 782446.
