Forecasters are predicting the Burnham-On-Sea area could see a dusting of snow this morning (Friday, December 16th).
“Heavy rain, turning progressively to sleet and possibly snow, will move across the region overnight with some slushy accumulations at low levels,” the Met Office said on Thursday afternoon.
If correct, it would be Burnham’s first downfall of snow since last winter when the town saw wintry scenes for several weeks in the run-up to Christmas (as pictured above).
Temperatures were predicted to fall to freezing overnight as the front of wet weather moved across the South West.
