Predictions that snow would generate wintry scenes in Burnham-On-Sea like those pictured here proved unfounded on Thursday morning (February 8th).
While large areas of the south saw significant falls of snow, Burnham saw only sleet and rain.
On Wednesday, The Met Office had predicted that Burnham should prepare itself for a wintry blast.
But Burnham-On-Sea has not seen significant snowfall since March 2006 and December 2005.
