An internationally-renowned artist who is known for his displays of snow art switched his attention to sand when he left his mark on Brean beach on Sunday.
Simon Beck spent five hours creating a huge 100-metre circular design on the sand next to Brean Down.
Simon, from Bracknell in Berkshire, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I spent an hour measuring the design and then four hours to complete it with my rake.”
“I’m used to creating art in snow but the hard sand here is perfect. I’ve received lots of positive feedback from walkers and holidaymakers through the day.”
He added: “It’s so rewarding to look down on the finished work from the top of Brean Down when it’s finished before it gets washed away by the tide.”
Simon, who has appeared in the national media for his work, intends to publish a book this autumn featuring some of his best designs.
