Motorists and pedestrians in Burnham-On-Sea have been warned to take extra care on icy roads and pavements today (Saturday, November 27th) as wintry weather affects the area.
Temperatures in Burnham plunged to -4°c overnight, leaving icy stretches on pavements and roads. There were also further light downfalls of snow this morning after Friday’s sleet and snow, resulting in these picturesque scenes.
A severe weather warning hs been issued by the Met Office for the whole of Somerset, including the Burnham area, stating: “Following the clearance of rain and snow, widespread icy stretches are expected on untreated surfaces.”
