Burnham-On-Sea fire crews have been called to deal with a second smoke bomb attack in the space of a week.
On Friday night (March 16th), crews were called to East Avenue in Highbridge after a smoke grenade was pushed through the letterbox of a private home.
Burnham-On-Sea Fire Officer Ian Hazelton told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The smoke grenade was posted through a letterbox, and while it fortunately caused no damage, incidents like this do cause a lot of distress to the occupants inside.”
Burnham police were also called to the scene and an investigation is now underway.
This latest incident comes just days after we reported on March 7th how a letter bomb had been posted through the letterbox of a High Street premises.
Thick smoke had been seen emerging from the entrance to Woolley Surveyors, next to Gary Berrymans estate agents.
