A boy was rushed to hospital with head injuries after a freak accident on the steps of Burnham’s sea wall on Sunday afternoon (July 16th).
The 12-year-old from Bridgwater slipped on some seaweed and fell backwards onto the concrete, injuring his head.
He was treated for concussion by paramedics, who also applied bandages to a wound and then took him to Weston General Hospital.
A Burnham lifeguard had called the emergency services after spotting the incident from the top of the jetty at around 2pm.
