The icy slopes of Brent Knoll turned into a hive of snow sports activity on Tuesday (February 3rd) when several inches of snow coated the hill.
Youngsters were able to dust off their sledges for the first time in several years, and then slide down the fields at rapid speeds, as pictured here.
Monday’s snow had frozen overnight, making the icy surface perfect for sledging. Unfortunately, the fun was short-lived, though, because a rapid thaw set in at lunchtime and the bulk of the white covering had disappeared by mid-afternoon. More snow is forecast later in the week.
