The Sky Sports speedway team will be returning to Highbridge’s Oak Tree Arena tonight (Tuesday, May 31st) for what will be a third successive season that they have broadcast a live meeting from the home of the Somerset Rebels.
The meeting gets underway at 7pm, with Sheffield being the opposition for what looks like a closely-fought and action-packed meeting.
“It’s a tremendous honour to be chosen for another Sky meeting,” Rebels promoter Debbie Hancock told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“Both of the previous two meetings that have been broadcast live from the Oak Tree Arena have been crackers, real edge of the seat stuff, and I am sure that this match against Sheffield will be another terrific meeting with which to showcase the Premier League.”
As a consequence, Somerset’s home fixture against Newport that was originally set for Friday 3rd June will now be re-arranged to a new date as district council restrictions do not allow the Rebels to run two meetings in the same week.
