A team of local Sky engineers will spending Thursday (2nd November) in Burnham-On-Sea carrying out fundraising activities.
The team of 17 will be spending the morning on the beach focusing on Sky’s Ocean Rescue initiative collecting plastic from along Burnham’s coastline.
As part of this they will be aiming to cover 68 miles between them to raise money for their national charity partner Maggie’s which have centres around the country for supporting people who are suffering with Cancer.
Maggie’s Miles is a national event that all the teams across the country will be taking part in and to support the team click here.
In the afternoon the team will be at the lifeboat station in Burnham’s Pier Street, washing cars to help raise funds for the RNLI. They’ll be there between 12pm-4pm.
