Burnham-On-Sea’s Hillview Carnival has been given a financial boost from a fundraising skittles weekend.
Supporters of the club flocked to the event at the Crossways Inn in West Huntspill on Friday and Saturday, helping it raise a total of £452 towards this year’s cart.
Mark Bishop, Chairman of Hillview Carnival Club, said: “Many thanks to everyone at the Crossways and all those who took part.”
“We are also very grateful go to Jason and Debbie Clark, the two club members who organised the event, and a special thanks also goes to the landlord and landlady for their kind donations.”
Steve Saxton was named the winner of the event after achieving the highest score of the weekend (24) with six balls to scoop the £50 prize.
