Burnham-On-Sea’s ‘Siobhan Johnson Singers’ – who include Burnham On Song and Burnham Youth Choir – will be performing their annual ‘Carols by Candlelight’ Christmas concert at St Andrew’s Church this Saturday (2nd December) in aid of ‘In Charley’s Memory.’
It will be an evening of fun and festive family cheer performed by local community singers, who will be entertaining the congregation with some exciting and uplifting festive songs together with the delightful tones of young local junior elite singers.
Burnham Youth Choir will be leading their ever-popular and traditional fun filled ’12 Days of Christmas’ involving the congregation.
There will also be a time for reflection to light a candle for loved ones accompanied by two beautiful and moving performances of Andrea Bocelli’s ‘The Prayer’ sung by Leah Norton and Grace Holman and Gabrielle Aplin’s ‘The Power of Love’ performed by Evelyn Rowland.
By popular demand, solo singer Emily Thomas will be performing her sensational jazzy performance of ‘Feeling Good’.
“It is always a pleasure to raise money for such a wonderful and deserving local charity as ‘In Charley’s Memory’ who do such important and significant work in providing support for young people with mental health illnesses,” said Siobhan.
“We are delighted to have former MP Tessa Munt supporting and attending the concert as a trustee of the charity.”
Tickets are priced at £3.50 (with under 5s free) and available from The Crafty Tea Cup, In Charley’s Memory offices or on the door. The concert starts at 6.30pm.
