Over 30 people showed they were in fine voice at a unique ‘Come and Sing Day’ organised by Burnham and Highbridge Choral Society on Saturday (October 18th).
Choruses from Hiawatha’s Wedding Feast were sung with conductor Nicholas Bromilow during the six-hour event held at Burnham’s St Andrew’s Church.
“It was a great opportunity to learn something new in a relaxed and fun setting,” said the group’s spokeswoman Julie Skinner.
“We were pleased with the turnout – it was great to welcome along several newcomers and everyone really enjoyed it.”
Burnham and Highbridge Choral Society is now rehearsing for its annual Christmas Concert which will be held on Thursday, 11th December at St John’s Church in Highbridge. Its Spring concert will be held on April 25th, 2015.
