Sinbad the Sailor is set to pitch up in Burnham-On-Sea for a week of performances at the town’s Princess Theatre.
Burnham District Pantomime Society is busily rehearsing for its show, ‘The Adventures of Sinbad’, which will be performed at The Princess from 23rd-31st January.
Director Lorna Blair says it promises to be a fun-filled treat for all the family. She told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It is going to be a great show, full of traditional panto slapstick and comedy, plus songs and audience participation.”
“The rehearsals are going well and everything is going to plan. We have a great mixture of young and older members taking part this year and it will be a lot of fun.”
Sinbad will be played by Shannon Manlow, Roma Lott is Rob Blackmore, Aisha is Zoe Nicholson, Hassan is Gabrielle Blair, Leila is Katie Shephard, Mungo is Archie Williams, Rancid is Nick Elmswood, Caliph is Melvyn Shephard, Abanana is Emma Twigg and The Storyteller is Lorna Davey.
The Junior Chorus will comprise Daisy-Mae Marks, Mercina Markoutsas, Cohen Slator, Eleana Mitchell, Freyja Buttery, Eleni Markoutsas and Zoe Loveridge.
And the Senior Chorus will include Emily Elswood, Georgia Twigg, Tom Manlow, Emily Bees, Juliet Bissell, Louisa Arthur, Angelina Mitchell, Tabitha Butler, Mollie Kempton, Asia Jones and Ben Ratcliffe.
The extended chorus will be Slave Master (Greg Fear), Captain Bill (Frank Neill), Medicine Man (Alistair Murray), Indian Chief (Frank Neill), Polar Bear (Greg Fear) and Snowman (Mollie Kempton). The Pantomime Dancers are Jemma Derham, Sophia Christodoulou, Beth Fawcett and Georgi Simms.
