Council launches purge on ‘sign clutter’ across Burnham-On-Sea area

They include temporary roadwork signs and those warning of speed cameras that have since been removed.

Cllr Anthony Trollope-Bellew, the County Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Too many signs on the road can lead to excessive ‘sign clutter’. Local residents have told us that this is confusing, and often distracts drivers. We will carry on giving careful consideration to the need for new signs, and will make sure that out-of-date ones are removed.”
