A brand new shoppers and visitors guide for Burnham-On-Sea has been launched this week by the town’s Chamber Of Trade.
The free booklet, which includes a map and a full guide to the town’s independent shops and events, was unveiled at an event on Friday (February 24th) attended by traders, Chamber members and Burnham-On-Sea’s MP James Heappey.
50,000 copies have been printed and are being distributed in tourist information centres, shops, motorway services, supermarkets, pubs and holiday parks across the South West to promote the town centre over the coming year.
The new-look 10th anniversary publication provides features a full A-Z listing, plus useful information about local tourist attractions for visitors.
The publication was launched at a Burnham Chamber of Trade function in The Princess Theatre.
“Burnham has a super range of independent shops and this guide shines a light on the best of them, encouraging shoppers from the local area and further afield to visit our town,” said a spokesman.
Burnham Chamber of Trade Chairman Mark Newman thanked the many traders who have supported the publication, plus Sedgemoor Distroct Council, and those who have worked hard to complete it, especially Vicky and Tim Duke, and Burnham artist Juliet Farnese who produced the artwork for the publication.
An online version of the guide is available here and via the Chamber’s web page.
