A brand new shoppers and visitors guide for Burnham-On-Sea has been launched this week by the town’s Chamber Of Trade.
The pocket-sized booklet was unveiled at an event on Tuesday evening (October 7th) attended by traders and Chamber members alongside Burnham’s Mayor and Town Crier.
The new-look publication provides a complete guide to Burnham’s best independent shops and also features a town centre map in time for the start of the festive shopping season.
50,000 copies are to be distributed in local tourist information centres, shops, motorway services, supermarkets, pubs and holiday parks to promote the town centre over the next year.
The free publication was unveiled at a special Chamber of Trade function in The Princess Theatre. An electronic version of the guide is also available on the Chamber’s web page here.
“Burnham has a super range of independent shops and this guide shines a light on the best of them, encouraging shoppers from the local area and further afield to visit our town,” said a spokesman.
Chamber of Trade Chairrman Mark Newman thanked traders who have supported the publication plus those who have worked to complete it, especially Vicky and Tim Duke, and Burnham artist Juliet Farnese who provided artwork for the publication.
