The winners of an annual competition to find unusual items in Burnham-On-Sea shop windows have received their prizes this week.
Organised by Burnham’s Chamber Of Trade, the annual competition to ‘spot the odd item in the shop window’ attracted dozens of entries last month.
40 town centre businesses put items that they don’t usually sell in their windows or online and the public were invited to find as many of them as possible.
First prize of £100 cash went to Katie Rendell while the runners-up prizes of art from Sea Breeze went to Maddie and Luke Course.
“Our thanks go to everyone who entered,” said a Chamber spokesman. “Hundreds of people took part in the competition, which is always a lot of fun and attracts many visitors into our town centre.”
“Burnham has a great range of independent shops and the competition encourages people to explore our town’s shops the town centre. Further shop window competitions are being organised for Armed Forces Day and over the summer.”
