One of Burnham-On-Sea’s longest-running shops has jumped onto the Internet with the launch of a new online store this week.
Shickle Shoes, established for more than 50 years, launched the new Internet-based shop to let customers buy online rather than have to come to the High Street store.
Top shoe brands including Van Dal, Rohde, Daniel Hechter, Rockport and Grenson are all available on the site, available here.
To celebrate the launch, Martyn Gauld, Regional Sales Manager for Van Dal and Jeff Clark, Area Manager for Rohde Shoes, joined the staff of Shickles Shoes for a launch party at The Taste of the Orient restuarant in Burnham.
Director Geoff Shickle said: “These are exciting times for Shickle Shoes. We already receive a significant amount of orders over the phone from all over the UK, so an online store was the natural next step.”
Manager of the online store, Constance Davis, added: “We are ready and waiting to despatch orders for shoes and handbags. It’s a project everyone here has worked hard to achieve.”
