Burnham-On-Sea firefighters were called out to rescue a stranded sheep in a ditch on Monday afternoon (October 8th).
A crews was called to Brent Street, Brent Knoll at just after 4pm where the animal was stuck.
“The fire service received a call to a sheep trapped within a water-filled ditch – a fire officer attended to triage the incident and confirmed one fire engine from Burnham-On-Sea was required to effect a rescue,” said a spokesman.
“Fire crews rescued the sheep from the water-filled ditch using dry suits, water rescue gear and manual lifting equipment and the sheep was left in a safe area.”
