Ewe lucky animal! Burnham fire crews help stranded sheep

Burnham-On-Sea firefighters were called out to rescue a stranded sheep on the banks of the River Brue in Highbridge on Wednesday evening (June 30th).

The stricken animal was reported to be in difficulty near The Clyce at 7.45pm by a passing walker, prompting a fire crew from Burnham to investigate.

The unharmed sheep was quickly helped out of the mud by the team using safety lines.
