Weekly sequence dancing classes set to begin in Highbridge

-

Strictly Come Dancing may have finished for another season but if it’s wet your appetite to put on your dancing shoes, then you are in luck.

Somerset Skills & Learning is holding weekly classes in sequence dancing, starting in Highbridge on January 22nd.

Sequence dancing includes ballroom and other styles. Traditionally, all dances in ballrooms were sequence dances until the early 20th century when modern ballroom dancing developed.

“We have all seen the films where everyone takes to the dance floor and dances the same dance. It looks magical and it is happening in Highbridge,” said

“Sequence dancing is a great social event. Tutors Joan and Bernard lead the friendly and relaxed classes where you will learn dance steps to give you confidence on the dance floor while meeting new people, having fun and keeping fit.”

“There are beginners and improvers class planned, so whether you’re a complete beginner with two left feet or if you know your way around the dance floor, there is a class for you!”
