Fire crews were called to a blaze at Sedgemoor Services on the M5 motorway near Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday morning (April 14th).
Two crews from Burnham-On-Sea and one from Bridgwater rushed to the scene at 6.05am after reports of a fire in a commercial kitchen area.
“The fire was confined to one of the industrial deep fat fryers and was extinguished by the on-site kitchen staff using a fire blanket,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“The property was evacuated and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus inspected the kitchen area to ensure the fire had been fully extinguished.”
