Dozens of children from across the district competed in the annual Sedgemoor Schools Biathlon in Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday (February 28th).
Organised by Burnham Swim and Sports Academy, the event saw almost 100 youngsters competing in running and swimming races through the day with the outdoor races held in Burnham’s Manor Gardens.
Organiser Sara Cox Conklin said the event had been a great success. “What a fantastic day we had! There were 97 competitors from 18 schools racing, along with hundreds of family, friends and teachers all cheering their teams on.”
“Supported by our fabulous team of volunteers and officials, this was a wonderful event. Congratulations go to all involved and a huge thank you!”
