More than 800 train enthusiasts from across the country were in Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday (August 26th) for the town’s annual Sedgemoor Rail exhibition.
The popular two-day event – now in its 28th year – was being held at King Alfred School. Over 30 model railway layouts from all over the country were on show, some of which had not been seen in the area before.
Alongside this, more than a dozen local and national traders were in attendance, selling a wide range of model railway equipment, books and videos. Local modellers were also on hand to give demonstrations on various aspects of the hobby.
Andy Jones (pictured), Chairman of the Burnham and District Model Railway Club, which organises the event, told Burnham-On-Sea.com the event had been another “big success” with a steady stream of visitors.
Burnham & District Model Railway Club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-10pm at the Burnham-On-Sea Community Centre.
