Police say Burnham-On-Sea missing man has been found safe and well

A missing man in Burnham-On-Sea has been found safe and well following a huge search operation today (Wednesday).

Police and the family of Mark Winterburn, 34, issued an appeal for the public’s help to find him.

Mark had last been seen on The Esplanade walking south towards Burnham Sailing Club on Tuesday morning (October 29th). 

Police, Coastguards, RNLI and BARB crews were all involved in a search for him overnight and this afternoon.

Shortly after 3pm, Police called off the search and said he had been found safely.

Police and family members thanked the public for their help in the search.

Several members of Mark’s family and friends also met at Apex Park this morning to search for him.

Alana Savage, the partner of Mark’s brother, thanked the public for their support in the search.
