Firefighters rescued a seagull that was left dangling from a roof after it got tangled up in netting in Burnham-On-Sea on Wednesday morning (April 10th).
A Burnham fire crew was called to Regent Street, as pictured here, after wildlife carers asked for help in reaching the bird, which was hanging against a wall on a piece of netting.
A crowd of onlookers gathered outside Nat West Bank on the corner of Burnham’s Regent Street and the High Street to watch a firefighter reach the stricken bird and free it.
The bird was handed over to carers from East Huntspill’s Secret World for treatment and was recovering well.
