Sixteen new seafront illuminations are to be switched on along Burnham’s Esplanade over the next few weeks.
The new second row of colourful blue and white lights will be installed between the Tourist Information Centre and Sailing Club before Easter.
Town Clerk Eileen Shaw told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The extra lights should be in place during the week before Easter and be switched on in time for the busy holiday period.”
She added that the 27 existing seafront illuminations (pictured) between The Reed’s Arms and St Andrew’s Church will be switched on for the first time this year at the same time.
Sponsors for the new illuminations are being sought. Those who are interested should contact the town council on 01278 788088.
