Burnham’s seafront briefly came to a standstill on Tuesday afternoon (February 13th) after a two-car collision.
Police closed Cross Street at the junction with The Esplanade after the two estate vehicles collided at 3.30pm.
Rain was falling at the time, although it is not known whether poor visibility or slippery conditions were a contributory factor.
Police spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com there had been no injuries and added that the road had been closed to allow recovery of the two damaged vehicles to take place.
The crash left motorists facing delays of several minutes to get around the incident.
