Emergency services were called to Burnham-On-Sea’s seafront on Thursday evening (April 30th) after an accident.
A fire appliance from Burnham was sent to the North Esplanade at 8pm to reports of a collision involving a motorcycle.
“Upon arrival, crews confirmed that the motorcycle had left the highway and hit a stationary van,” said a spokesman.
“The rider had fled the scene so crews set about a local search and the casualty was found at Burnham swimming pool with facial injuries.”
