A series of weekly 5km runs along Burnham-On-Sea’s seafront are underway.
The 5K Winter Series events are held every Thursday, starting at 7.30pm, with registration by 7.15pm at the Burnham Swim and Sports Academy.
“They’re a great opportunity to blow off the Christmas cobwebs and January blues and kick-start your year!” says a spokesman.
“Entries are taken on the night. Runners – who need to be aged 13 or over – are invited to run this fast, flat three-loop course – and we welcome all abilities.”
Medals are presented to the top three male and female runners with spot prizes, water, bananas and Haribou sweets for all runners.
