Burnham-On-Sea fishmonger celebrates 40th year of business

-

A Burnham-On-Sea fishmonger has celebrated its 40th year of business this week with a special event for customers and supporters.

Seafoods has been successfully trading in Burnham High Street since September 16th, 1975 and is one of the area’s longest-running independent shops.

Owners Steve and Gaynor Wright, pictured, held a special event on Sunday (September 13th), attended by the town’s Mayor and Mayoress, to celebrate the milestone.

“We thank our many customers for their loyal support over the years,” said Steve.

“We’ve enjoyed building up the business over many years here in Burnham and by attending local markets – 40 years is a great milestone.”

Burnham’s Mayor Michael Clarke told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s fantastic to mark such a landmark for one of Burnham’s businesses.”

“We congratulate Steve and Gaynor for their award-winning shop, which is a real asset to the town and much-valued by shoppers.”

Among those present at Sunday’s celebration were customers, staff and friends, including members of Burnham-On-Sea Chamber of Trade and Burnham’s Town Centre Manager.
