A fresh seafood stall has returned to Burnham-On-Sea’s seafront for the first time in almost two years.
The new concession, operated by Burnham fishmonger Seafoods, is located on the paved area at the top of the jetty at weekends, weather permitting.
Seafoods’ Gaynor Wright told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are delighted to have our new seafront stall in place, selling a wide range of delicious fresh shellfish.”
She added: “We’d have liked to have opened here over the summer but we wanted to take our time to get a modern, new mobile stall with proper refrigeration and excellent facilities to properly reflect our quality brand.”
Weather permitting, she says the stall will be in place over the half-term holiday later this month. It will also be in place on the seafront from Easter 2017 at weekends and during busy holiday periods.
“We have had lots of positive feedback so far – everyone is saying how nice is to have a seafood stall here, it’s quite a tradition in a seaside resort like Burnham.”
