Burnham’s sea wall has been attacked again by graffiti vandals, prompting a renewed clean-up operation.
A racist slur and various four-letter words have been daubed in paint over the structure near the top of Cross Street during recent days – much to the anger of the town council.
Town Council Clerk Eileen Shaw told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Tuesday (February 5th) that the council was aware of the latest graffiti and was hoping to get it removed “as a high priority”.
Last year, Sedgemoor District Council said the removal of graffiti during 2007 had cost it more than £10,000.
Burnham’s sea wall has unfortunately been the target of graffiti vandals many times during recent years.
