More than 300 Scouts, Beavers, Cubs and Explorers from across Sedgemoor gathered on Burnham-On-Sea beach on Tuesday evening (June 17th) for a mass sandcastle building competition.
Youngsters from Burnham, Highbridge, Berrow, Cheddar, Bridgwater, Cannington, Wedmore, North Petherton, Bridgwater, Weare and Huntspill took part in the 14th annual contest besides the jetty, as pictured here.
Dozens of entries were dug in the sand, including boats, castles, planes and cars!
Somerset Scouts County Commissioner Shaun Dale said he was delighted with how the event had gone.
He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a fantastic evening with superb weather and a very good turnout. This event brings together our groups from across the district for a fun evening.”
