A group of 20 Burnham-On-Sea Scouts, Cubs and Beavers carried out a litter pick at Berrow’s Nature Reserve this week.
The group, pictured above, collected over seven sackfuls of rubbish during the event, which was organised by the 1st Burnham-On-Sea Cub Scout Kingfisher Pack.
The two-hour clean-up was held on Monday (May 23rd) to help the youngsters earn their community challenge badges.
“The Cubs were all really well behaved and fortunately the weather stopped raining just in time for the litter pick,” Giles Prewett from the Kingfisher Pack told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“We would like to thank all of the parents and young leaders that came down to help, and for Sedgemoor District Council that supplied the children with pencils, badges, magnets and balloons for their efforts in tidying up the local environment.”
