Burnham-On-Sea Scout Group’s concert band has this week launched an appeal for new and former members to get in contact to help with one of the group’s upcoming performances.
The small group of Scouts and Guides, pictured, are set to perform The Lion King medley later in the year, and they are calling on past members of the former Burnham and Highbridge Scout and Guide Band to help with rehearsals and the performance itself.
Bandmaster Rachel Burland told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “There are many previous members of the successful Scout and Guide band in the community, and we are asking them to come forward and help our young members with this project.”
The group are also currently seeking sponsorship to buy new equipment, including a euphonium, which is currently unsuitable for concert band performances.
