Scarecrow festival fun set to return to Brent Knoll this weekend

-

Dozens of colourful scarecrows will be on display in Brent Knoll this weekend during the village’s annual scarecrow festival.

More than 50 scarecrows are on show alongside roads, gardens and paths across the village.

The festival – which is being held for Girlguiding Brent Knoll – starts on Saturday 22nd September and continues on Sunday 23rd September. This year’s theme is book and comic characters.

“This is always a very creative event which involves residents and visitors alike, with dozens of scarecrows to locate,” said a spokeswoman.

A Scarecrow Trail sheet is available to buy from the Village stores and hall and costs £1. Completed Trail sheets will go into a prize draw for a cash prize.

All the scarecrows will be on display between the hours of 10am and 4pm. Within these hours, refreshments will be on sale at the Village Hall.
