Crowds flock to see Father Christmas arrive at Sanders Garden World

-

Father Christmas made a grand arrival at the start of the festive season at Brent Knoll’s Sanders Garden World today (Saturday, November 16th) by arriving on a double decker bus!

Over 200 people flocked to see Santa’s arrival outside the garden centre, pictured here.

Phil Tyzack, manager of the centre, said: “Father Christmas this year arrived at the garden centre in unique style and was accompanied by the Cheddar Male Voice choir and a variety of children’s entertainers.”

21 youngsters from the Chestnut Class at Churchfield School in Highbridge, who won a collage competition, also took part in the event.

Burnham’s Christmas lights switch-on will be held on Saturday November 23rd in Victoria Street with a Christmas street market from 10am, children’s entertainment from 2pm, and the switch-on itself at 4.45pm by BBC Somerset’s Emma Britton and Burnham’s BMX world champion Liam Phillips.
