Eager shoppers braved the elements and even lost some sleep to get their hands on bargains at a local garden centre’s January sale.
Hundreds of gardeners dug out their wet weather clothing in order to queue up for the start of Sanders Garden World’s sale on Tuesday morning (January 2nd).
A handful of the hardiest had even camped out at the centre from Monday night, defying the wet and windy weather, to be the first through the garden centre’s doors at 9am.
Garden centre boss Peter Burks, pictured, said: “We allowed people to queue several days in advance if they wished to and as soon as our doors opened at 9am we made our first sales in the hot tub department.”
