Brean Play joins Salvation Army toy appeal for Christmas

-

Burnham-On-Sea residents are being encouraged to support a Salvation Army toy appeal campaign for Christmas.

Brean Play at Brean Leisure Park is joining forces with the Salvation Army for its annual Christmas Toy Appeal, to provide a happy Christmas to children in the local Somerset area.

People are invited to drop a new, unused toy for a child (newborn to 16 years old) into the Brean Play collection point anytime before 12th December.

The Salvation Army centre in Weston Super Mare will then wrap the gifts, which will be distributed to children in need and families in the local area through the Salvation Army’s own networks, local groups and social services.

Mike Barsby from Brean Play said: “When buying a gift for your children or grandchildren think of what they might like in their Christmas stocking and please consider buying an extra present and donating it.”

“By giving a gift to our Christmas Present Appeal you can make a real difference to a local child who may otherwise not get presents this Christmas.”

Gifts can include anything from soft and educational toys for the very youngest child, to games, toys and accessories for older children.

Brean Play is open daily to accept gifts for the Appeal from 9.30am to 5.30pm at Coast Road, Brean.
