Sackfuls of plastic rubbish were gathered by volunteers from the Friends of Berrow Beach during their latest beach clean on Saturday (May 11th).
A great turnout of volunteers collected plastic rubbish and other debris during the fifth monthly beach clean of 2019.
“We thought there wasn’t much litter on the beach – how wrong we were!” said a spokesman.
“Many, many thanks to everyone who joined us, especially to our lovely ladies who prepared bacon butties when we got back! It was also great to meet some new faces!”
The Berrow group is led by Honour Greenslade and Sue Meads with the support of Litter Free Coast and Sea Somerset’s Tanya Cox.
