This was the scene outside a Burnham-On-Sea town centre pub at the weekend after a man suffered serious head injuries when he was attacked with a glass.
Police rushed to the Somerset and Dorset in Abingdon Street on Saturday night (May 8th), as pictured here, and arrested the alleged attacker.
Sgt Ian Kennett of Burnham Police told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A local male in his 20s was assaulted in the Somerset & Dorset. He was allegedly hit over the head with a beer glass and received lacerations to his scalp.”
“Two PCSOs from Burnham-On-Sea police station responded to a call to a fight over Burnham’s Radiolink system and were first on scene. A 22 year-old male from London was later arrested and is now on police bail.”
Sgt Kennett said that the incident had shown how local police successfully work together with licensing staff using the Radiolink system and Sedgemoor District Council’s CCTV team.
