Burnham-On-Sea’s S&A Linens has recently re-opened as a large department within Scott’s Furnishings in Victoria Street.
It comes after S&A Linens’ own dedicated shop in Burnham High Street closed last year after 27 years.
Owner Steve Scott told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had not intended to do so, but it seemed almost every other customer that came to S&A Linen’s closing down sale was saying how much we would be missed and what a shame it was that we were closing after trading in Burnham-On-Sea for 27 years. The main thing being said was ‘Where can we go for such a large selection of curtains?'”
“This got us thinking. We worked out some figures and, as our overheads would be so much lower, we decided to transfer S&A Linens into Scott’s.”
“This we have done mainly by rearranging and moving the flooring department slightly, but without cutting down our choice of carpets, vinyls and hard flooring in any way.”
“In harmony with what we sell at Scott’s we are concentrating on better quality brands including Christy towels, Vantona Sheets & Bedding, Percale’s British made sheets and Fine Bedding’s Duvets and Pillows.”
“Now, at Scott’s, we can Carpet and Furnish your whole house including Beds and Bedding, Lounge and Dining, ready-made and made to measure Curtains and Blinds.”
Although we still offer the whole range of Ready made Curtains, we have vastly increased our range of Made to Measure Curtains, where we offer the whole service of measuring, putting up rails or poles and hanging curtains and blinds.
