A rugby player who has previously played for Burnham-On-Sea made a big impact for England in the Six Nations tournament at the weekend.
British and Irish Lions’ prop Mako Vunipola helped England clinch an exciting 18-13 victory over Ireland at Twickenham.
He came off the bench to help England win their second victory of this year’s Six Nations.
Mako – and his brother Billy Vunipola – who also started the game at number eight, previously played club rugby for Burnham.
A Burnham Rugby Club spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are very proud to have had these great players play for us over the years – it is great to watch them doing so well and we all wish them every success.”
